Overseas Experiences in Resilient Timber Construction

The timber industry is at risk of being excluded from building construction in disaster prone regions where inappropriate urban planning and climate change are threatening Australian homes. This threat to the industry is attributed to a poor perception of wood as an organic product, however, when appropriately designed and constructed, timber buildings can be very resilient. The purpose of this research was to examine  approaches, experiences, and case studies of resilient timber construction to guide growth in the industry.
