The primary objective of this travel was to evaluate the applicability of the US Army’s Mobility Model to predicting the relative mobility and trafficability of logging machines on Australian soils.
Secondary objectives were to visit other laboratories to obtain the latest information relating to the assessment of machine mobility and trafficability and to
report to the Gottstein Trust any policy or other recommendations which are believed to be for the future of the forest products industry in Australia.
