The Gottstein Trust has established a Scholarship fund available for undergraduates or postgraduate students undertaking a bachelor degree, graduate diploma, masters degree or or PhD Program in forest science or wood science.
The scholarship provides funds of $5,000 per annum to each successful applicant for up to three years, subject to appropriate progression of study and achievements. The funds will be made available to the Scholarship holder for the purpose of meeting living, relocation and education-related expenses.
Award Application Process
The Trust will determine the award of a Scholarship based on criteria that may vary, but will remain consistent with its key principle to promote the development of the Australian forestry and forest products industry.

- Completed application form with additional pages as needed;
- Employer’s recommendation letter (if applicable).

COVID19 Pandemic Disruption
DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC NEW 2020 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOT OPEN.
The Trust looks forward to reopening for new applications during 2021.
Applications Closing Date
Usual practice is that applications open in July each year and the closing date is during September. Late applications will generally NOT be considered.
Scholarship Award applications for 2019 were open for two months between Friday 19th July and Monday 16th September 2019.
Applications are considered by the Trustees and shortlisted applicants are interviewed, then advised of the outcome by early December.
